RITES Limited is a Government of India Initiative. It was recognized under the sponsorship of Indian Railways in the year of 1974. The company internationally known as a leading consultant over 55 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, South America and Middle East regions. It is a Public Limited Company of India governed through Board of Directors which consist of persons from various segments of engineering and management. It is a multi-disciplinary consultancy in the arenas of transport, infrastructure and other related technologies.
The company provides a wide-ranging collection of services under umbrella. They believe and transfer of technology to client organizations. In foreign projects, the company is actively pursuing and develops accommodating links with local consultants and firms. It means of determined utilization of local resources and as an effective instrument of sharing its expertise.
- They have in-house team of expert engineers represent considerable authority in civil, mechanical, metallurgy, chemical, electrical, signal and telecom engineering, and experts in transport and financial aspects, quality affirmation, environment engineering, information technology, finance and general management.
- They are the only export arm of Indian Railways for giving rolling stock overseas.
- From the Indian Railways and other government ministries or departments, they also source required manpower both on deputation and permanent basis, according to the requirements.
